I made my first website on Angelfire (because it had a pretty name) in 1996. I remember leaving my computer on all night to upload and download 'massive' 20MB video files. I don't really know why I wanted a website so badly, but I learned some basic HTML code. Which led to more complex HTML code. Then I had to have my own domain name. And better graphics. And more space...and interactive content! It was an addiction!
It should have been clear right then what I wanted to do with my life, but somewhere along the way I decided (like most of my girlfriends) that I wanted to be a veterinarian, and then (unlike my girlfriends) an aerospace engineer. Except I don't really care about airplanes.
So finally I came back to what I'd been doing all along: web design. I'm excited that I can work with such a fantastic group of people here at AdCo and feed my addiction at the same time.
